The girls in my family planned a trip to VEGAS and were so excited to go. We all really wanted to stay at the Nugget because they have a shark tank pool where you go through a see-through slide into a shark tank! My parents kept telling us it was gross there and in a bad part of town. When Katie and I called the woman reassured me the rooms were updated and the one we were in was remodeled in 2008. We thought hey it can't be that bad, right?
So a couple days before we are to leave my mom fell down the stairs and really hurt her back to the point where she couldn't even walk. So she was unable to go. We thought of cancelling but she insisted we still went.
So off to Vegas! Our whole trip ended up with a ton of silly things happening that we didn't plan for. First thing we almost ran out of gas right in the north end of Vegas looking for our hotel. My dad had warned us it was a bad part of town so we were really worried about running out and had to circle around some scary areas to find a gas station.
Next we got to our room at the Nugget and it was definitely NOT what they said it would be. Let's just say it was all original from when they opened in the 70's? except they repainted EVERYTHING from the popcorn ceiling to the dressers. Plus there was not a couch or fridge (kellie and I needed for our milk) like the woman had said. So after one polite phone call they refunded our money and we were off to the south end of Vegas to a super nice and half the price hotel called South Point. Our room there was on the second to top floor and was so clean. The pool was great too.

That night we decided to go to a restaurant called Dick's. The wait staff is supposed to be rude to you and they make you funny chef style hats with sayings on them. We wanted to try it for something new and adventurous. We got jipped. They weren't rude to us how they should of been, they actually ignored us. All the tables around us they were saying and doing funny things to them and making hats. We just sat there. Of course we made it fun anyways and we finally were able to make a "flat mommy" to bring around with us.
Because these girls are so hawt we had two different people come up to us and gave us wrist bands to get into clubs for free. We wanted to go see what they were like but Katie and Kenzie aren't 21 and you have to have healed shoes. Oh well, maybe next time.
We also had quite a few "D I N O S A U R" tyrin' to hit on us, what?
Ok some of them weren't dinosaur's but we made sure they knew we were not available.
My mom is so friendly and always making new friends where ever she goes so we all tried to make one in memory of her. This is Jamie's. The gas pump we chose literally took 15 minutes to pump about 12 gallons...
After a stop at yogurtland we headed back to the Nugget, we were not going to miss out on our shark tank slide.
That is Kellie going down the tube. The slide was so fast that when you entered the shark tank you couldn't see a thing, what a disappointment
I LOVE LOVE LOVE hanging out with my sisters and wish my mom could of been there too. They are my best friends.
We laugh until we cry.
Hopefully one of these times we will all get to go on a trip together.
I am so grateful for these fun times and for the most wonderful husband who is willing to take time off work and take care of our children while I am gone.
