Kevin and I decided this year that instead of going somewhere for our anniversary with just us two that we would take the kids camping. The only vacation we had done all year was the race in Moab which was lots of fun but we had

wanted to go somewhere with just our family.

So we headed up to the Snake River/Jackson area. Luckily we borrowed Kevin's parents trailer cause it was COLD the first few days. It was so nice to have a heater at night for the kids (and me too :>).
Cole absolutely loved playing outdoors everyday, all day.
We enjoyed shooting, sitting around the fire, driving around looking at the beautiful mountains, going to Jackson, swimming in a natural hot spring pool, seeing a bear (Kevins first time seeing a bear in the wild), spending at least two hours a day throwing rocks in the river, reading, playing cards, getting dirty and just hanging out together.

Cole loved taking pictures of the sceneryYou have to get a picture by the antlers when in Jackson
Everyone stopped us on the street to tell us how cute our kids were...
They LOVED Coles boots and hat.
One lady even asked if she could take their pictures!

We found this great place to get some firewood, I thought it was even better for pictures
Cole and Kevin had a great time shooting the Red Ryder gun. They were after the squirrels all week. Cole also was very proud of the egg he shot and broke on top of the "pepper" can...
And finally...
Boy does this girl LOVE to stick out her tongue. It is hard to get a picture of her NOT doing it!
